Agroforestry Systems are productive systems that allow soil, water and biodiversity conservation. In addition, AFSs are strictly associated with its responsible farmer, since the system's essence is its management, for an appropriate entrance of sunlight and biomass generation. Therefore, AFSs design, implementation, and management require dialogue and social and environmental assessments.

That's why along with all the positive environmental impacts AFSs are capable of generating, it approximate human beings of the systems - a great challenge faced currently in Brazil.
